Informed Consent

General

Spiritual directors are trained listeners, doulas, and companions on the spiritual journey. They are not experts who fix, give advice, or tell one what to do. Spiritual direction offers a safe, gentle, non-judgmental, and confidential place to attend to spiritual health. It typically includes opening and closing a session with prayer and spaciousness in between to explore the deepest yearnings of the soul – the doubts, the questions, the pain, longings, and desires. Some people seek this because they are struggling spiritually. Others come with specific issues or decisions they want to resolve, or simply because they value ongoing feedback for their spiritual life and journey. The benefits of spiritual direction are the strengthening of one’s faith and meaning-making in the midst of life’s complexities.

Goal

I am here to accompany you. I am here to help you work through your goals on your healing journey, wherever you are at.

Length and finances

Pay scale is designed for you to choose your ability to pay within the given range.
I accept cash, check, card in person or payment directly through my website.

• Individual Spiritual direction
  1 hr, $80-100 per session.
  Ongoing individual sessions are typically biweekly or monthly. Available in-person or virtual.
• Group Spiritual direction
  2 hrs, $150-180 per session.
  Usually short-term, on an as needed basis. Available in-person only.
• Therapy:
  1hr, $80-100 per session.
  *I am not billing insurance companies at this time.* Ongoing individual therapy sessions that are either weekly or biweekly. Available in-person only.
• Consultation:
  1 hr, $80-100 per session.
  Usually between 1-3 sessions. Available In-person or virtual.

Virtual

I do offer virtual sessions with a HIPAA protected platform.

Availability

I am working on Fridays: 8:30 am, 10:00 am, 11:30 am, and 1:00 pm sessions blocks. Sessions can be booked directly from my website. Please contact me through my work #: 574-574-5602 or email ebintegratedhealth@gmail.com. I will try to respond within 24 hrs.

Cancellation Policy

No cancellation fee prior to 24 hrs. If canceling within 24 hrs, a $40 cancelation fee will incur (unless there has been an emergency or unforeseen circumstance).

Collaboration

If you are seeing a therapist or another form of supportive service for your healing, I would love to collaborate with them. Increased communication with the team of people surrounding you can facilitate a quicker healing process. We can discuss giving consent to do so and how to navigate that on an individual basis.

Social Media

Because I want to honor your voice and privacy, I do avoid accepting friend or contact requests from current or former clients on any social networking sites (Facebook, Tiktok, LinkedIn, etc). Similarly, I do not have or maintain a social media presence.

Confidentiality

I do not share with anyone about our working relationship unless you do or give me permission to do so. If/when we see each other outside of Spiritual direction, I will not bring up anything related to Spiritual direction unless you initiate a conversation about it first. This does not mean that I am not interested, rather it is my way of honoring your voice and privacy. In relation to records, I do keep a folder of documents and a notebook of my notes that I keep during our sessions unlocked in the office. Please let me know if this causes any concern for you.

Consultation

I do receive outside supervision and may, at times, consult about our work together. This allows me to accompany you better. Information about you may be shared in this context without using your name.

Emergency

If you are in crisis or need immediate support, 1) you can call the national suicide crisis hotline at #988 2) go to the closest Emergency Room for further evaluation 3) or call 911 for immediate support.

Exceptions to Privacy/Confidentiality

Under certain rare circumstances I must disclose confidential information:

• Abuse or neglect of a child or an elderly person
• Threats of harming yourself or others (which may involve contacting law enforcement)
• A court order
• When state or federal law requires it (in case new laws are created, or existing laws amended)
• Grave impairment

Accountability

I believe in growth and being accountable for my humanity. I receive monthly spiritual direction. I receive monthly spiritual direction supervision. I have peer accountability for my anti-racism journey. If we work together, I will provide you with their contact information should I unintentionally cause any harm or abuse in the course of our working relationship.
